The Ferry is a brilliant location to hold a party. It's a very 'upper class' pub and is based in a very picturesque location. There's some nice surrounding views as it's based right on the Thames. If you want to impress any family or friends who aren't from around the area this pub is absolutely perfect. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food quality was amazing. It's been a week since the party and my family and friends are still talking about how nice the food was. The party was based in a separate section of the pub called 'The Snug'. It was 3 rooms containing a bar a dance floor. We also hired a DJ who set up perfectly in the corner of the dance floor. It was great having a whole part of the pub just for our party with no access to the public. We had waitresses greeting the guests with Prosecco on the door and came around with Canapes. The quality of the food on the Canapes was the best I've experienced at a party and went down very well with the guests. The only issue is the ceilings covering half of the area were very low so anyone over 6 foot tall had to crouch down! This was not a big issue though and actually made the rooms seem more cosy. Another issue was the parking at The Ferry wasn't great and a lot of guests had to park down Cookham high street. Overall I definitely recommend this pub for a meal or party. I will be looking to use this venue again in the future.
